Whether you're new to the field or just need a refresher, the CAVA Board has created a 1-day conference all about the basics of Volunteer Administration.

A Crash Course into Volunteer Administration supports professionals who manage volunteer programs in both non-profit and for-profit agencies and corporations.  Instructors provide developmental tools, detailed methods, current concepts and best practices in the field of volunteer engagement.  Participants will develop professional skills through lecture, classroom discussion and group activities.  Breakfast, lunch and take-home materials are provided.

  • 9:00 a.m. - Welcome, Breakfast, Networking, and Ice Breakers

  • 9:30 a.m. - Presentation #1: Strategic Volunteer Roles & Organizational Readiness

  • 10:15 a.m. - 10 minute break

  • 10:25 a.m. - 5 minute Ice Breaker/Activity
